World Blood Donor Day 2025 – June 14th!<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Every year on the 14th of June we celebrate World Blood Donor Day and thank our donors for giving blood, platelets and bone marrow to help save lives. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We take this opportunity to thank and recognize the incredible voluntary blood donors who have contributed to the health and well-being of people in need around the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How you can support World Blood Donor Day<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Give Blood<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are eligible to donate blood<\/a>, please give an hour of your time to this life-saving act. The actual blood donation only takes a few minutes and once you are finished you can enjoy some refreshments knowing you have helped someone in need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Give Platelets <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We always need new platelet donors in our Cork and Dublin centres. Check your eligibility<\/a> and help fight cancer! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spread the Word<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you can\u2019t donate blood or don\u2019t have the time, you can really make an impact by spreading the word about the importance of giving blood. Encourage your friends, family and colleagues to give blood. Many people are not aware of how easy the process is and so spreading the word in your local community really helps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
