The theme for 2026 is Pain Management: An Essential Part of Palliative Care. The theme was chosen to re-emphasize the holistic treatment of pain in palliative care (physical, psychological, social, spiritual). The interaction among total pain components is often complex, yet evident in patients with serious illnesses.
